       The flame retardant grade of TPU is the same as that of general wire products, and a little better V1, ordinary V2                                   Halogen-free flame retardant TPU polyurethane raw materials, polyester / polyether, hardness: 71A - 95A, the processing level can be divided into: injection molding / extrusion processing, color: Black / White / Grey / transparent, bright surface / surface effect to semi matte / fog surface quality: no powder, no precipitation, cold. Hydrolysis resistance, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, weather resistance, flame retardant grade: UL94-V0/V2, making wire by: VW-1 (vertical burning test does not drip).        Thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) has excellent mechanical properties, wear resistance, solvent resistance, high temperature resistance and other comprehensive properties. It is an ideal coating material for wire and cable. PC+ABS injection molding pellets issues

Rounded pellets usually are hot-cut, cylindrical pellets are usually strand-cut so most likely different extruders were used. This (change in extruders) may effect compounding of the materials and thus properties, but your supplier should have done QC testing to know product is the same. Again, this may be where pellet-to-pellet differences could show up in FTIR analysis. Also, most suppliers don't mold sample test specimens that have knitlines that many production parts contain, and they wouldn't be able to catch differences in batches if you are having knitline issues. Poorly compounded materials (not enough mixing) might show up in drop dart impact test comparisons, as I have seen this in some materials I have evaluated in the past. A couple of years ago I analyzed an FR-PC/ABS painted bezel for an electronic enclosure plastic injection  molded in China and found that their plastic injection molder had sworn they used the same material, but the batch that had poor performance had a bunch of silicone oil in it. This caused failing the heat performance test and very poor paint adhesion.If the pellet shape look difference for sure the material was polymerized in other reactor as well as extruder and can affect the recopy of course the molecular chain, but also no forget the process can affect the moister in the material, cooling water in the tool, and the temperature profile I think before to say is the material double check the process.There could be two major interrelated issues involved viz, material and its impact on plastic injection molding process. As per my knowledge, PC+ABS always has filling related issues; as the flow properties are not very good. The process is usually pressure limited with higher residual in-mold stresses. This can lead to premature failure of the part. The answer should somewhat lie in the MFR which differs due to change in MWD and MW. Test the good batch and the newer one and compare the results. A relatively simple and cheaper MFI test is recommended. What percentage of regrind material can be used in plastics?

The important consideration should be end product and what your definition of "REGRIND" is. Reprocessing your own internal scrap (if kept clean and uncontaminated with anything else) is a significantly different question basis than using unknown or unclassified "regrind" from outside sources.As to the end applications – many custom processors adopt a simple program internally like the 80:20 approach above simply because it generally insures inventory 'velocity' versus turning cash into useless warehouse ballast by using start-up scrap, sprues etc back into the product as the run progresses.There is no written down /prescribed guidelines for use of Regrind or process waste back into to Processing machines (Injection molding/Extrusion/Blow etc). For non-engineering products & commodity products in India, there are processors who use only Recycled/Regrind injection mould material for cost effectiveness. Generally, most of processes 80:20 virgin to regrind is preferred, but it's not a guideline. All depends upon type of product, property requirement & application of products etc.Sad to admit, but in fact, most folks that are quoting probably don't realize the write UP in material "cost" that should be considered when significantly less percentages of regrind are incorporated. If you DON'T use it up and end up selling it for a few cents on the dollar, the WRITE DOWN is actually a part of the COST of the product you originally bought the material for. And most don't have any idea of what the "true" cost to own of an 80:20 mixture is considering handling, size reduction, inventory holding and shrinkage costs etc are over the life of a business project.
